ABOUT KEARNY FOOTBALL CLUB

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce Kearny FC. Our developmental and traveling soccer programs are under the direction of dedicated soccer coaches, trainers, and staff. We have youth soccer teams for U8, U10, U11, U13, U-14, and Pre-K Kickers in Kearny, NJ.

Our philosophy is to influence a young person's life in regard to responsibility, initiative, and a strong work ethic. We are extremely firm believers in constructive discipline. Each player is an essential part of the soccer team and it is his responsibility to nurture this in order to build a strong foundation.

We will focus strongly on staying healthy both on and off the pitch and developing skilled and confident soccer players. Lastly, our soccer club will teach self-esteem, self-confidence, great sportsmanship, and absolutely, with no excuse, respect for all as well as respect for self.

Social Skills

Players learn to work together on our soccer teams and cooperate with each other. The rules and routine of a team sport make it easier for the player to develop social skills.

Learn to Work Together

Since soccer is a team sport, it is very important the players learn to work together in order to succeed. This will help them with things outside of sports such as group projects in school and meetings for clubs or later in life at work.

With patience and persistence, the player will perfect their skills with their soccer team. When your child sees their practice paying off, they will feel a sense of confidence and self-empowerment.

As your child continues practicing and perfecting their skills, they will shine during soccer league games. Competitive playing with their team in front of the viewers is very rewarding and will give them the confidence they need to continue to succeed.

Kearny FC was great for my son's development. Prior to coming to Kearny FC my son was a bench player on a Northern Counties team. With the great coaching there ( I have seen some excellent coaches there), my son developed into a player now on an established EDP/ECNL team. Prior to coming to Kearny FC I wondered whether my son would be good enough to play in high school, now I'm excited about the possibility of him playing in college (one step at a time). My only regret with the club is that I didn't bring my son there earlier to help in his development.

The psyche of a young player can be delicate, and before realizing his potential he almost wanted to give up on the sport. At one point he thought he would be nothing more than a bench player. I'm glad those days are behind us. The club is not as prestigious as some others in NJ. Don't get caught up in the hype. If you have enough experience you'll realize parents will complain about something anywhere you go. Also, rather an spend an arm and a leg, this club is appropriately priced. Coach / Administrator Chris, seems to have innovating thinking. At the time we were there he had his teams do Paris speed training, and was able to work out a very reasonable price for the teams. I didn't always agree with everything while I was there (nobody does with any club), but it was all worth it in the end. I'm hopeful this review finds anyone having some interest, give this club a shot. They did an excellent job with my son. I wish them the best of luck.
